SEO – How can I improve keyword ranking overseas? I am doing well at getting to the top of Google for keyword searches in the UK, but I want to rank highly overseas, namely in Africa and Asia. How can I check my ranking as if I was a user in, say, Ghana and secondly how can I improve my ranking there?
You have 2 questions – 1. is how do you confirm your ranking and 2.how do you increase your ranking.
Just like you have a Google.co.uk, you will also have a Google for all the different countries in Africa, like Google.co.za (for South Africa, Africa’s largest economy) and .co.in for India.
In terms of ranking – each domain name is by default placed either in the country its hosted in (for TLD’s like .com, .net, .org etc) which is done based on it’s IP or if it’s a ccTLD, then it becomes a page from that country.
You can also use Google WebMaster tools to set a non-ccTLD to a specific location. So you could setup LaurasSite.com – host it in the UK but tell Google that its relevant to say Egypt.
You can also setup sub-domains or folders in your site by adding them to Google webmasters. Lets say that LaurasSite.com is in the UK but you want to setup content for Senegal and China on the same domain. Then you add LaurasSite.com/china/ as a domain in Google Webmasters and set the Geo-target using the tools.
Also, many countries with different languages also have searches that return results only in a specific language, e.g. French.
Which SEO software is best to determine my keyword position in Google? I want to know what is my website position when user type a keyword in Google! search.
SEO – Is there a way to find out where your site is ranked in Search Engines based on keywords? For example, if I want to check to see where my site ranks for a certain keyword, as a replacement for of typing it in the search engine and then going through pages to see where it sits, is there an simpler way?
3. http://www.webgrowth.co.za/serankingchecker/4520487245 I sent for his free report about this tool and I haven’t received the email yet. As far as accuracy goes, it gifted agreed his description. The cost isn’t being told yet even if. He said something like “don’t worry all my reports are free” but he’s talking about software on his site, so I don’t know if he’s being intentionally ambiguous.
Anyway, I’m interested in this too so thanks for asking the question!
My website comes in top 10 of google search result for some keywords. But why it is not coming in top 30 of Yahho Search result. I need to bring in top 10 results of yahoo for some specific keywords.
Plz tell me how can i optimize my website for Yahoo Search Engine.
Mathan is right that Yahoo cares more about on-page optimization than Google is. Yahoo is also more sensitive to the quality of links. If you build a bunch of poor quality links (especially run of site links), you may find that Yahoo reacts poorly.
What is keyword density? Is keyword density even a factor is SEO? I am wondering if keyword density is a factor in getting search engine results. If so how much? How does it all work? What is it exactly?
You know this is a excellent question. I was wondering this myself. I googled it and found this article. This was the most comprehensive guide to keyword density I had read so I thought I would share.

There are a bunch of excellent tools, but search engine genie seems to be the best: http://www.searchenginegenie.com/google-rank-checker.html
The site also has a lot of free useful Internet tools as well.

Just commenting on some of the tools others mentioned
1. Alexa – pretty much useless. It only collects data from persons that have the Alexa toolbar installed.
2. http://www.mikes-marketing-tools.com/ranking-reports/ – I was in tension this one would be excellent. When I tried it even if, the results weren’t accurate. Perhaps they are ancient results?
